To celebrate our partnership as a filmmaking couple, and to share the experience of our ceremony with loved ones who could not join us in Yosemite, we recorded our wedding adventure and produced a documentary short. We held a private premiere of that film for our friends and family in Los Angeles at the Silent Movie Theatre.
The Silent Movie Theatre is a small, single-screen theater seating about 180 people. Originally opened in 1942, it sought to preserve the magic of silent films that had already been passe for 15 years. It remained a silent film venue until 2006 when new owners turned it into a revival house. It is now home to The Cinefamily, a “nonprofit organization of movie lovers devoted to finding and presenting interesting and unusual programs of exceptional, distinctive, weird and wonderful films.” The theater has a Spanish patio in the rear where patrons often host after-parties and other events.
YAY! Can’t wait. XOXOXO and MUAH!
